eParaksts Banking API Overview
eParaksts Banking API Integration
Introduction
This document describes the relying party service interface protocol of LVRTC e-Identity
platform and provides information for integration.
The interface offers the entry point to eParaksts mobile and eID Scan main use cases, i.e. authentication and
signing.
API is a REST WEB service that provides operations using HTTP requests.
The Goal
API is designed to extend the current API provided by LVRTC e-Identity platform:
- Integration Platform operations with eParaksts mobile and eID Scan application require a user redirect to
eparaksts.lv services. In case of Open Banking a total number of redirects increases
resulting in 6 or more redirects.- This API solves this situation by handling the communication with eparaksts.lv
services internally.
- This API solves this situation by handling the communication with eparaksts.lv
- SeeWhatYouSign principle currently is not provided by the signature procedure of LVRTC
e-Identity platform.- This API solves this situation by using the eParaksts mobile and eID Scan transaction signing
functionality, where payment details together with a control code are displayed to
the end user in the application.
- This API solves this situation by using the eParaksts mobile and eID Scan transaction signing
Known Issues
There are several known issues:
- eParaksts mobile application uses a signing certificate that allows to produce
Advanced Electronic Signature (AdES). - Qualified Electronic Signature (QES) is supported only with eID Scan application.
